1.) How will the book be organized?

Much of this will depend on the stories of the co-authors involved, but most likely the book will be divided into five sections, each one dealing with different ways we look at family and how we prioritize our commitment to it. Each author’s ideas will be considered and placed in one of the sections. The sections might include (but are not limited to):

*Communicating Family Commitment in the Workplace

*Grandparents
*Childless Families

2.) Who will own the copyright to the work?

Each author will retain the rights to their own material. You are providing permission for the use of your essay in the book.

3.) Can you tell me more about the plans for marketing and promoting the book?

There are several pieces to the marketing we plan for the anthology. Some will be carried out by an agency and some will be carried out in concert with your co-authors. Much of this planning comes as the book takes shape. For instance, when we assembled How the Fierce Handle Fear, we had not planned on doing a telesummit. That idea came later and became the hugely popular Fearless Fridays Telesummit. The current marketing plans for How the Fierce Put Family First include but are not limited to:

**an Amazon.com bestseller book launch organized by Sophfronia. You would be expected to participate in the launch, joining other partners we will recruit to promote the book as well.

**paid advertising placed in Peter Shankman’s HARO emails, which currently go out to over 100,000 readers. This group will probably be much larger by the time our book’s ad runs.

**individual marketing plans that each author will be encouraged to execute on their own, including sending pre-written press releases to local media. Also, the co-authors who live in close proximity to each other will be encouraged to have group book signings so they can draw bigger audiences and moresales.

4.) What will be the price of the book?

This depends on the size of the final product, but most likely the anthology will sell on sites such as Amazon.com for approximately $14.99. However the price of the book will not be printed on the cover. This will allow you to sell the book on your own site and at events for whatever price you wish.

Any royalties generated from store book sales will be donated to Frank McKinney’s Caring House Project Foundation, a nonprofit organization he founded in 1998, that provides a self-sustaining existence for some of the most desperately poor and homeless families around the world.

5.) When will the book come out?

Our projected publication date, assuming everyone meets the January 1 deadline for submission of their materials, is August 1.

6.) What if I need help getting my chapter written?
